Dear Val
Curious about what's happening in our local property market? In September, 168 properties sold across Northland, with a median sale price of $615,000. The median time to sell was 69 days, giving buyers and sellers plenty to think about as we head into the warmer months.
Every property and area is different, so if you're wondering what the latest market activity means for your home, I'm always happy to have a chat. Whether you're thinking of selling soon or simply keeping an eye on your property's value, I'm here to help!
There's plenty more to explore in this month's newsletter, too! Keep scrolling for my latest listings, helpful property tips, upcoming Whangarei events and a few updates from the Property Brokers team.
Kind regards

Property decisions aren't on hold, the regions are proving it.
What today's property market could mean for your next move.
There are plenty of reasons you could wait to make your next property move. An election. Interest rates. The economy. The hope that the perfect property might come along next month. But New Zealanders aren't necessarily waiting.
Despite an election on the horizon, recent research involving more than 2,000 active property buyers and homeowners found only 20% of sellers and 22% of buyers considered it a primary influence on their property decisions.

Latest Market Report | REINZ September 2026
Prices remain steady as properties take longer to sell
REINZ data for September 2026 shows the median price outside Auckland was effectively unchanged on a year earlier, while lower annual sales and longer selling times reflected the measured pace of recent months.
Significant regional differences and divergence between the North and South Islands also remained evident. Six of the 16 regions recorded positive year-on-year median price movements. Taranaki and West Coast were the strongest performers.

Grease: The Musical
In the summer of 1959, greaser Danny Zuko and wholesome Sandy Dumbrowski enjoy a sweet summer romance and part ways believing they will never meet again.
When Sandy unexpectedly enrolls at Rydell High and reunites with Danny, their relationship becomes far more complicated. Determined to maintain his tough reputation with the Burger Palace Boys, Danny downplays his feelings for Sandy, while Sandy struggles to find her place among the gum-smacking Pink Ladies. As friendships, rivalries, and teenage dreams collide, the students of Rydell navigate love, identity, and growing up.
Bursting with rock ’n’ roll energy and iconic songs like “Greased Lightnin’,” “Summer Nights,” and “We Go Together,” GREASE has remained one of the world’s most popular and enduring musicals and an exuberant celebration of young love, teenage rebellion, and the electrifying spirit of the 1950s.
